Join us in the serene beauty of the Kula Muriwai Wellness Center in New Zealand to Embrace the Heart, where we embark on an expansive retreat to ignite and nurture the spirit within. Optional Sydney Extension:
Sunday, September 21 – Wednesday September 24, 2025 (three nights/4 days)
After your retreat experience, we’ll host an optional tour of Sydney. Explore this constantly beguiling city nestled around the shoreline of beautiful Sydney Harbour!
As former Sydneysiders, Wendy and Jo will create unique opportunities to see the hidden gems that tourists don’t necessarily discover on their own. We will be staying in the trendy Potts Point neighborhood minutes from the Opera House, Botanical Gardens, Circular Quay, Harbour Bridge, and The Rocks. Stay tuned for more details!

Touring on Your Own:
If you would like to explore more of New Zealand and/or Australia, you have the perfect opportunity to extend your stay and “create your own adventure” either before or after your retreat session… there’s so much to see!

Our Retreat Venue – Kula Muriwai Resort
Breathe in the fresh ocean air and take in the expansive views overlooking the Tasman Sea from the clifftops of Muriwai. Only a 45 minute drive from central Auckland but you feel like you’re on the edge of the earth.

“Kula” is a Sanskrit word that means a community of like minded & like-hearted people coming together for a common goal or purpose.

Coming home to the heart of course includes home cooked meals! Celebrating community and sharing a meal together can create such wonderful memories. Weather permitting, we will also plan a picnic on the beach to soak in the fresh Kiwi air and the glorious views.
Enjoy exquisite food carefully planned to warm your tummy and feed your soul, catering to all special dietary needs and prepared with the freshest local ingredients.

Registration Process and Fees

Retreat registration will be open on December 15th, 2024! We are expecting to be be fully booked for both sessions, so we recommend that you contact us with your intentions ASAP, and you will be put on a priority list.

Retreat Accommodations


There are many options for accommodations to suit every need. The Kula Muriwai Wellness Center offers two choices; The Homestead and The Estate, each with six bedrooms. Think of large and spacious lodges with plenty of room to stretch out and relax!

Some bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, or alternatively, you have the option to select a room with a shared bathroom. Most rooms accommodate two persons, either twin share or king beds. There’s even an option for a quad share room for a group of friends!

Choose from three room types:

  1. Master Delux Suites: amenities may include private sauna room, tub and double shower, private sitting room, or private patio with gorgeous views of the ocean. Starting at $3,897 pp.
  2. Double King or Twin Share Rooms: beautifully appointed and comfortable, all with views of the grounds and ocean. Shared bathroom with two other guests. Starting at $2,997 pp.
  3. Quad Room/Bunk Double Room: The Quad/Bunk Double Rooms are a wonderful option to share with a group of friends. “king single” bunk beds for two or four guests in beautifully decorated spaces. Both rooms share a bathroom with two other guests. Starting at $2,397 pp.

All room options include the activities listed below. If you prefer a single room, please add an additional $1500 single room supplement fee to any of the room options above.

An initial deposit is required to hold your space, and payment plans are available.

Registration fees include:

  • Arrival/Departure transportation from Aukland International Airport
  • Lodging five nights/six days
  • Gourmet fully catered meals for all dietary requirements
  • Daily meditation and morning group experiences
  • Cultural connection
  • Afternoon activities
  • One excursion during your stay – pick from activities such as farm to table cooking, a ceramics class, or wine tour
  • Beach walks and trails throghout the area
  • Sauna and cold plunge, jacuzzi, and pool on property
  • Cosy up to the fire or gather in the many comfortable nooks throughout the property
  • Beautiful and uplifting music by Gary Lynn Floyd

Optional Activities not included in your retreat fees:
There will be optional activities for you to book in your free time that may include yoga, energy healing, or massage.
